Congratulations, mom-to-be! We at Thyme feel privileged to be by your side at such a special time in your life. Our dedicated team of experts design garments that will grow with you, so you can look your best at every stage without compromising comfort.
To help guide you, we created a maternity checklist that highlights key pieces you'll need for each trimester. As you and your body evolve you'll be prepared for everything and anything in style.
1st trimester (0-3 months)
To get started, you'll need some maternity essentials, like a good skin care system, specially designed panties to fit your growing belly and new bras to accommodate the changes in your breasts. Our famous stretch tees in an array of great colours and low-rise denim are an everyday must!
It's really important to start shopping for maternity pants and bras as soon as you start feeling confined in your regular clothes.
Thyme Experts suggest:
- 1 pair of denim.
- 2 pairs of pants. We suggest 1 casual
pant and 1 dressy pant. - 1 sweater. In colder weather, go for a turtleneck;
in warmer seasons, a cardi is great. - 2 fashion knit tops.
- 1 blouse. Try pleated fabric for extra comfort.
- 2 t-shirts. Our cotton spandex tees strech as your belly grows!
- 3 panties.
- Thyme's Soothing Therapy Skin Care System.
Start taking care of your skin right from the beginning.
1st trimester (0-3 months)
You might not even know it, but something amazing is happening inside your belly... you've created life and you're going to be a mom! Although you probably haven't gained any weight yet, you might feel uncomfortable in some of your clothing. It'll soon be time to go shopping!
Aside from your new sense of joy and excitement, you might be a little tired and maybe even a bit nauseous... but take heart, these are common feelings at this stage of the game, and most often they go away in the coming weeks. For now, focus on the baby (or babies!) taking shape inside your belly. Everything will soon fall into place!
You may not be showing yet but your pants are probably starting to feel a little snug at the belly. You'll have your first prenatal appointment by the end of this month...time to hear baby's heartbeat for the first time! Bring tissue, it's a really incredible experience that's sure to pull on your heart-strings!
