Ratings & Reviews

Decent, professional, comfortable, stays up

This is a well made skirt all round. Good fabric, nice dark black, doesn't gather lint or hair, stays looking nice. As is, it fits well and reaches to and slightly over the knees. (5'8, XL). It keeps a good appearance and is comfortable and appropriate, the only black dress skirt I've found so far that is (barely) not too tight fitting and provides sufficient leg coverage. Better coverage with XXL and a looser, more professional fit; when sizing up, two darts sewn into the back of the stretchy panel to slightly narrow it or even a diaper pin to take out the excess width in a pinch keep it in place securely. I bought two on sale and would buy more if they made the same skirt with no changes other than two inches of added length and a bit more ease in the hip and thigh. Very durable, they get a lot of wear with sweaters and blouses. Hey Thyme: this style would work beautifully in a more relaxed fit as a mid calf or maxi length dress skirt!
